Trade Ministry Pledges to Use Survey Findings to Shape New Industrial Policies

The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry has pledged to incorporate recommendations from a recent national survey into Ghana’s forthcoming trade and industrial policies.
The commitment was made at the final policy dialogue on Ghana’s Trade and Industrial Policies, held in Accra on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The forum brought together policymakers, industry stakeholders, and development partners to review findings on the country’s trade and industrial landscape.
The Ministry said the government is fully committed to ensuring that the report’s recommendations guide policy development.
“Aligning policy frameworks with practical insights from the survey is key to promoting sustainable economic growth and industrial development,” the Minister stated.
Participants at the dialogue discussed strategies to enhance trade competitiveness and productivity, strengthen local industries, and support job creation across the country.
The survey is expected to inform reforms aimed at making Ghana’s industrial sector more resilient and responsive to private sector needs.
