Teacher Unions Resume From Strike; Ohwimase Basic School Expresses Impact

Following the strike that was embarked by some teachers’ unions in Ghana specifically the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), and Coalition of concerned Teachers-Ghana (CCT-G)

Ohwimase basic school A and B students in Kwadaso Municipal have expressed how the strike has affected them.

Based on the interaction with the pupils in the school, none of them enjoyed the strike, according to the pupils, the strike action by the teacher union has delayed a lot of school activities.

Also, the pupils said the strike delayed their academics, especially the JHS students.

The students urged the government to accept the grievances of the teachers.
