PTA Chairman For Atwima Mim Government School Lament Over An Abandoned School
The Parent-Teacher Association chairman for Atwima Mim Basic School in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District Mr. Kwabena Sarfo has lamented over an abandoned school in his authority.
According to Mr. Sarfo, the community started building the school during the era of Hon. Kofi Donkor, the former District Chief Executive Officer. However, according to him, the current DCE is aware of the situation of the school but nothing has been done.
“Some of the pupils are under raised tents with dusty floors. The state of the school is very bad and not conducive for learning”.
Substantiating what Mr. Kwabena Sarfo said, the Secretary for the Parent-Teacher Association Mr. Bright Kwame Boateng said, they recently had a meeting with the headmistress of the school. After the meeting, we concluded on building three classroom blocks in addition to the ones available. The three classrooms have been built but the standard of the school is low.
