Manhyia Police Division Gets New Commander

The Manhyia Police Division has gotten a new head following a reshuffle in the leadership of the police administration.
The Division will now be headed by the former KNUST District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Frederick Hammond.
Mr Hammond replaces ACP Afriyie Ameyaw.
He was introduced to the King of the Asante Kingdom at the Manhyia Palace.
This was during the seventh Akwasidae Festival on September 28, 2025.
He was part of the delegation of the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC), which included heads of the various security agencies and participated in the festival to pay homage to Otumfuo.
While paying homage, the Regional Commander, Mr Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe, introduced the new head to Asantehene.
