Asanteman Council Reconvenes on Thursday
The Asanteman Council will reconvene this week after a two-month suspension of sitting.
A letter by the Registrar issued over the weekend invited all Paramountcies under the Asantehene as well as the Division Heads of the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) to a meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
The meeting scheduled at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi will commence at 10 am, the communique said.
On the agenda are swearing of allegiance by the newly enstooled Chiefs of Kwamang and Nyinsinase.
It will be the first meeting of the Council since August 11, 2025, when the demise of the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, was officially announced by the King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
