Kumasi Candlelight Vigil For Lumba Postponed
The scheduled candlelight vigil of highlife musician Daddy Lumba has been postponed indefinitely.
This was communicated in a press statement by the Creative Arts Agency (CAA).
The event was originally scheduled to take place in Kumasi on August 9, 2025.
“This decision follows the directive of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, declaring three days of National mourning from 7th to 9th August 2025, in memory of the eight individuals who tragically lost the lives in the helicopter crash at Adansi on 6th August 2025.”
It therefore plans to communicate a new date for the vigil in subsequent days.
“A new date for the Candlelight Vigil will be communicated in due course.”
The Agency used the occasion to condole with the bereaved family and mourn with the nation.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the entire nation during this difficult time.”
