Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, will today speak at the Korea-Africa Business Summit in South Korea.

This was announced in a press statement by the Special Aide to Mr Mahama on May 25.

The summit organised by the Korea-Africa Foundation is taking place in Seoul for two days.

He is said to be the keynote speaker for the summit which coincides with the African Union Day celebration.

The President of the Foundation, Ambassador Woon-Ki Lyeo, is quoted as saying the presence and participation of Mr Mahama is “a stepping stone for ennobling the partnership between Ghana and Korea.”

As part of the summit, there will be an Africa Night to commemorate the Africa Day celebration.

“The summit according to the Korea-Africa Foundation provides a “valuable venue for enabling rich and in-depth discussion” around several key issues including Finance 4.0, Innovation and Youth Entrepreneurship, Trade, Industrialisation, Energy and Resources,” the statement said.

The Korea-Africa Foundation was established as an affiliate of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve as a platform for collaboration between the private and public sectors and also to strengthen exchange and cooperation with African countries.
