Stop Denigrating or Endorsing Prospective Flagbearers; NPP to Members

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned leading members and executives to desist from denigrating or endorsing prospective flagbearers.

In a statement, the party stated that it takes a serious view of some distasteful comments against some prospective Flagbearer Aspirants by some Party executives and leading members.

It has therefore “resolved to caution all Party executives, leading members and communicators at all levels to desist from making public endorsement of any prospective Flagbearer Aspirant and to also desist from making denigrating comments against any prospective Flagbearer Aspirant”.

According to the party, this directive will remain in place until the Party opens nominations for the conduct of presidential primaries, and any Party executive.

It is bent on sanctioning anyone who flouts this directive.

“Leading member or communicator who flouts the directive shall be sanctioned in accordance with the Party’s Constitution and National Council’s Code of Conduct for presidential primaries issued on July 27, 2021.”
