Finance Minister Reaffirms Commitment to Addressing Remaining Economic Risks

The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has acknowledged the lingering economic challenges, reaffirming the government’s commitment to addressing them.

In an engagement with an IMF Mission in Ghana for the fifth review of Ghana’s Supported Programme, he said significant progress had been made.

“We began the year with many challenges, but together we have been able to steady the tide and make significant progress. While we acknowledge that risks remain, we are committed to doing all we can to address them,” he said.

In a Facebook post, he affirmed optimism about the outcome of the review.

“Encouragingly, the indicators point in the right direction, and this mission provides us with an important opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the work we have done so far in serving the people of Ghana.”

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has commenced the fifth review of Ghana’s Supported Programme.

The review by the Mission led by Dr Ruben Atoyan commenced on Monday, September 29, 2025.

They began with an engagement with the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
