Ablekuma North Violence: We’ll Make Arrests Soon- Police

The Accra Regional Police Command says it will soon effect arrests in relation to the violence that plagued the Ablekuma North Parliamentary re-run.
In a statement, it said several videos that captured the incidents at the polling stations had been reviewed and analysed, with statements from complainants and witnesses taken.
“The Police have reviewed and are analysing several videos that captured the incidents at the polling stations to identify all persons involved. The command has progressed to obtain statements from complainants and witnesses to add to the ongoing investigations.”
It assured that significant progress had been made in the investigation, warranting arrests.
“The Police have also gathered vital leads and wish to assure the public that arrests will be effected soon.”
Meanwhile, the victims involved in the incidents have been issued with Police Medical Report Forms, the statement noted.
The Ablekuma North Parliamentary re-run held on Friday, 11th July 2025, was marred by violence, leaving some individuals injured.
