Ablekuma North Violence: Two Suspects Apprehended

The Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the violence that broke out at the Ablekuma North Rerun election two weeks ago.

They have been identified as Musa Muntari and Ali Saeed, aged 46 and 43 years respectively.

While Muntari is said to be the Manager of STC, Saeed is reported to be a businessman.

It comes as investigations into the violence, intimidation and misconduct at some polling stations on July 11 advance.

In a press statement, the Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to prosecuting all persons behind the incidents.

In a previous statement, the police said several videos that captured the incidents at the polling stations had been reviewed and analysed, with statements from complainants and witnesses taken.

The re-run held in 19 polling stations was marred by violence, leaving some individuals injured.
