Black Stars Players Ready For Training This Afternoon

The Black Stars will today train at the Accra Sports Stadium after their camp opened on Monday, June 12.

They are currently being housed at the Swiss Spirits Alisa Hotels in Accra after assembling this morning.

Their training session will begin at 4 pm ahead of the AFCON qualifier against Madagascar this Sunday, a communique by the Ghana Football Association.

The 25-man squad includes Ati-Zigi, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Kwasi Okyere Wriedt, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Majeed Ashimeru, Salis Abdul Samed and Edmund Addo.

The rest are Denis Odoi, Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Alexander Djiku, Nicholas Opoku, Joseph Painstil, Osman Bukari, KamalDeen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah and Hafiz Konkoni.

Ghana currently sits atop Group E alongside Madagascar, Angola and Central African Republic.

Chris Hughton’s side secured 8 points after four games recording two wins and two draws.

The game will be an opportunity for Ghana to secure qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament scheduled for January 2024.

The match will take place at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 17:00 GMT.
