You Are Gifted, Avoid Unhealthy Competition- Asantehene to Sarkodie
The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has advised rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie to stay away from unhealthy competition in the music industry.
His Majesty, during an engagement with him, encouraged him to make use of his God-given gift.
Otumfuo noted that humility is key to reaching even greater heights in his already flourishing career.
“I will keep you always in my prayers. The last time when he came, I told him to be humble and remain submissive and respectful. He must avoid all unhealthy competitions. He is already gifted…He must be wary and circumspect in all his actions.”
To his management team, the Asantehene counselled against untoward attitude and violence.
“Don’t do anything untoward. Engage in ventures that will propel the artiste. When honour comes, you will have your share.”
Sarkodie was at the Manhyia Palace on July 18, 2025, to seek His Majesty’s blessings for his upcoming Rapperholic Concert in Kumasi.
The event will take place on September 27, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
