Police Hunt Two For Killing MOMO Merchant At Konongo

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has launched a manhunt for two suspected armed robbers for shooting a Mobile Money (MOMO) merchant to death at Konongo.

The suspects are reported to have trailed the deceased from an ATM to his residence at Konongo where he was killed yesterday, Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

The incident transpired around 9 P.M.

The two made away with an unspecified amount of money after shooting him, according to the police.

“The Ashanti Regional Police Command is on a special targeted intelligence-led manhunt for two suspected armed robbers who shot and killed a mobile money merchant at his residence at Konongo last night, Tuesday, December 21, 2021”, a statement from the Ghana Police Service said.

“Earlier, the Police in Konongo had advised all mobile money merchants to close their businesses early as a measure against targeted armed robbery activities”, it added
