Police Hunt For Gang Who Shot And Killed Gold Dealer In Jacobu

The Anti-Robbery Squad of the Ashanti Regional Police Command led by its commander, DCOP Afful Boakye Yiadom, is on the hunt for four armed robbers who shot and killed a gold dealer yesterday, January 24, 2022, at Jacobu.

The robbers allegedly attacked the gold buyer while he was transporting about 324 grams of gold from Attabrakoso towards Huu, the police report.

According to the police, the robbers made away with the gold, an unspecified amount of money, and mobile phones after killing their victim.

In the bid to round the gang, the police say a special “Bush Operation” is underway.

Appealing to gold buyers to be on the lookout for the gang when they come to sell off their booty, the police also called on the general public to report any suspicious gold dealer(s) to the police for possible arrest.
