First Year Kinbu SHS Student Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Colleague to Death While Gambling

A first-year student of Kinbu Senior High Technical School has reportedly been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a colleague to death following an ensuing confrontation.

A statement by the school said the victim, together with other colleagues, left their respective classrooms during learning hours to gamble at an uncompleted classroom block located outside the school premises.

The victim was stabbed in an ensuing misunderstanding while gambling, according to the school.

“In an unfortunate turn of events, the students involved chose not to inform any teacher or member of school management. Instead, they are believed to have carried their injured colleague over a section of the school fence and transported him to a nearby hospital without the knowledge or permission of school authorities.”

It said Management’s attention was drawn to the movement of the students by some food vendors outside the school.

It has since failed to identify the students.

However, it said it was collaborating with the Ghana Police Service, the Klotey Municipal Education Directorate and the Greater Accra Regional Education Directorate for a thorough investigation.

“We are committed to ensuring that justice is served and that the bereaved family receives the answers and support they deserve.”
