NACOC Partners with Uncle Ebo Whyte to Champion Campaign against Drug Abuse

Management of the Narcotics Control Commission has partnered with celebrated Ghanaian playwright and motivational speaker, Uncle Ebo, to mount a campaign against drug abuse among the youth in the country.
This forms part of strategies to reach a wider audience through the arts and entertainment industry.
The Roverman Productions CEO is known for his professional theatre plays, which have drawn a large number of followers, hence NACOC’s decision to associate with the brand.
This was disclosed during a courtesy call to his office by the Director-General of NACOC, Brig Gen Maxwell Obuba Mantey and his Deputy Director-General in charge of Enforcement Control and Elimination, Lawyer Alexander Twum-Barimah, on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Brig Gen Mantey commended him for his contribution towards national growth through his work as a playwright and being an influential motivational speaker, which has won the admiration from all walks of life.
“NACOC is very appreciative of your willingness to partner with your brand aimed at educating the youth against drug abuse” Brig Gen Mantey added.
He stressed that the Commission is committed to putting in place measures to come up with platforms that would advocate against the use of illicit drugs, which are destroying the majority of our youth, who should be prepared to lead this country.
On his part, Uncle Ebo Whyte assured Management of NACOC of his full support as he will be dedicating segments on his talk show on radio to discuss the dangers involved in the abuse of hard drugs.
“It is very worrying to see most of our youth becoming vulnerable to hard drugs, and I think we must all come together as a nation to tackle the menace” he noted.
He also hinted of submitting a proposal to NACOC for consideration, targeted at mounting up platforms that would highlight the dangers of illicit drug trafficking and the abuse menace.
