Musicians Must Think Worldwide – Trig Triga
Ghanaian rapper, Trig Triga has urged artistes to broaden their mindset and think beyond Ghana. According to him, adopting a global perspective is crucial as it opens up immense opportunities, considering that music enthusiasts from various countries could be listening to their songs.
Sharing a significant encounter on Kumasefie with Mr Black on June 3, Trig Triga recounted a moment when he approached someone regarding his music.
He recalled, “When I mentioned my name, the man laughed. Later, he played all my songs to me and revealed that some South Africans had recommended me for a program, despite the board members’ lack of familiarity with my work.”
In light of this eye-opening experience, he emphasised the importance of leveraging social media platforms, specifically highlighting TikTok and Snapchat, as effective tools for reaching a wider audience and connecting with fans worldwide.
With a string of successful releases under his belt, including “Pull Up” and “Bronya,” where he collaborated with Medikal, he has recently dropped a new track titled “Try Again,” featuring Kumerican rapper Kawabanga.
