Former Education Minister to File Nomination to Contest NPP Flagbearership

Former Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has announced August 28 to submit and file his nomination to join the race for the flagbearership position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a statement on Facebook, he said the exercise will take place at 11 am at the NPP Party Headquarters.

He used the occasion to invite all friends, well-wishers, and members of the party to join him in taking the monumental step.

“This bold step is a very important milestone in our joint efforts towards building a prosperous and transformative future for our nation.

“Your presence and support will be most valuable as we propel smoothly with one accord to the service and empowerment of our people.”

So far, only Kwabena Agyapong, the former General Secretary of the party, has filed his nomination.

January 31, 2026, has been set for the party’s presidential primary to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
