Mahama To File Nomination Today

Aspiring flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, will file his nomination to contest in the party’s primaries later today.

This comes after he was forced to reschedule it.

He will file his nomination at exactly 1 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Mr Mahama picked the nomination form in February alongside three others including former Finance Minister Kwabena Duffuor, former Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Kojo Bonsu and Ernest Kwaku Kobeah when the party opened nominations.

He was scheduled to file his nomination on March 20, however, he explained that it had to be postponed for the party’s planned press conference which was held on the same day.

“Originally planned for Monday, the John Mahama Campaign says it is very sorry for the postponement, which is in response to a request from the party to reschedule because of the presentation of the party’s True State of the Nation Address on Monday.”

The former President launched his flagbearership campaign on March 2, 2023, at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Sokode near Ho in the Volta region.

Already he has been to the Volta, Bono East and Ashanti regions canvassing for votes from delegates.

On Monday, he ended his campaign in the Ashanti region.

The NDC primaries will be held on May 13, 2023.
