KMA Enforces Ban on Explosive Sales at Kejetia City Market

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, has led an enforcement exercise following the ban on the sale of explosives at the Kejetia City Market.

He led a joint task force made up of fire, NADMO, military, and security personnel, to seize dangerous materials on Monday.

Dealers have been directed to relocate to Racecourse Market, while traders operating near transformers, fire hydrants, and walkways have been ordered to evacuate.

According to the Assembly, the exercise underscores its commitment to protecting lives, property, and keeping Kumasi safe.

The decisive action followed recent fire incidents linked to such items.
