#Fixthecountry Convenor Remanded into Police Custody For 2 Weeks

Ashaiman District Court has remanded Oliver Barker-Vormawor, convenor of the Fix the country movement into police custody for two weeks.

He has been charged with a treason felony and is expected to reappear in court on Monday, February 28, 2022.

Vormawor was reportedly arrested by the Tema Regional Police Command on Friday, February 11, 2022, upon his arrival from the United Kingdom (UK) for an alleged social media post threatening to undertake a coup against the President.

The social activist in a Facebook post allegedly said, “If this E-levy passes after this cake bullshit, I will do the coup myself. Useless Army”.

Vormawor was denied bail after his counsel pleaded on the basis that the court did not have the jurisdiction to do that, 3news reports.
