Chelsea Signs Nkunku
Chelsea football club have signed Christopher Nkunku- their first under the leadership of Mauricio Pochettino.
He joins Chelsea from RB Leipzig on July 1.
The France national made 25 appearances in the 2022/2023 season and hit the back of the net 16 times and assisted four times while playing for RB Leipzig.
Throughout his career, the midfielder has played 119 matches in the Bundesliga of which, he has won 65 with the Club, putting a total of 47 balls in the net, it is reported.
The 25-year-old who has now signed a six-year contract with Chelsea is “incredibly happy” to join the Premier League club.
Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley say Nkunku has demonstrated himself as a standout in European football over the past two seasons and will add quality, creativity and versatility to the squad.
‘He has demonstrated his ability at the highest level with RB Leipzig and France and we look forward to him joining up with his new teammates ahead of the new season.’
