Auditor General Charges Buipe PolyClinic To Sue Former Accountant Over “Stolen” ¢430k

The Auditor General has charged the Medical Superintendent of the Buipe Polyclinic to use legal means in recovering an amount of GH¢430,009.54 from the polyclinic’s former Accountant, Mr. Osman Jamal-Deen.

The A-G’s 2021 audit found that Jamal-Deen forged the signature of the Medical Superintendent to redraw the money from the hospital’s account.

The alleged theft, according to the A-G took place between January 2018 and April 2022.

“We noted that between January 2018 and April 2020, Osman Jamal-Deen (the former Accountant) forged the signature of the Medical Superintendent at the Buipe Polyclinic and withdrew GH¢430,009.54 from the Hospital’s account.

“We recommended that the Medical Superintendent should use legal means to recover from Mr. Osman Jamal-Deen, the amount of GH¢430,009.54.”
