Ashaiman: Murdered Military Officer Interred

Imoro Sherrif has been buried in accordance with the Islamic faith today, March 9, 2023.

He was killed by a suspected mob on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Ashaiman in Accra.

Until his death, Imoro was a trooper with the Ghana Armed Forces stationed in Sunyani in the Bono region.

He temporarily moved to the Greater Accra Region for a course during which he met his untimely death, the GAF said in a statement.

The statement from the military said Imoro sought permission to visit his parents in Ashaiman where he grew up but was later “found in a pool of blood in the early hours of Saturday near the Amania Hotel in Ashaiman”.

He was buried at the Burma Camp Cemetery on Thursday after the Islamic burial rites were performed.
