Anyidoho Declined Hearing- Asiedu Nketia
The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Honourable Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that the NDC is the most tolerant political party there could ever be in terms of its practices.
Speaking on the Breakfast Show on GTV, he revealed that the call for former deputy secretary, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho’s dismissal began about seven months ago, however, it passed through due process to arrive at his expulsion.
“NDC is the most tolerant party by our practice. There were many people calling for the dismissal of Koku Anyidoho long time ago, for more than six or seven months ago. At a point in time some of us were being accused of being in bed with him, sponsoring his actions. I always said that everyone must have his/her day before the disciplinary committee before sanctions are applied”, he said.
He however indicated that “they remained focused, never were they carried away by emotions and allowed justice to prevail” in settling on expulsion as the punishment.
“The disciplinary committee tried to bring him to avail himself but he declined”, he added.
Nevertheless he said he was satisfied because he had done his duty.
The National Democratic Congress announced the expulsion of Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the party’s former deputy general secretary on 27th July, 2021 after it said the party found him guilty of allegations of misconduct and anti-party behavior.
