Ampong Forgives Lumba and Seeks his Forgiveness

Ghanaian gospel artiste, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, popularly known as Great Ampong has let go of his grudges against highlife artiste Daddy Lumba.

This was during his ordination as a Reverend Minister at Divine End Time Revelation Ministries International in the United States of America (USA).

The musician used the occasion to also seek the forgiveness of the highlife legend for any offence he may have caused him in the course of their squabble which began in 2015 after their collaboration for an album.

“I know social media will interpret this differently but in the presence of God I don’t feel shy to say this: In the course of my anger, If I acted below the belt to offend him (Lumba) with my utterances for what he did to me, I ask God to forgive me and for him (Daddy Lumba) to forgive me as well. In that same spirit, whatever he did to me which offended me from 2015, I stand in the anointing of Rev Adonteng to forgive him. I let go.”

The apology came after Rev Kofi Adonteng Boateng, the founder of the Church based in the US deemed it imperative to lead Ampong to publicly go on that trail before his ordination.

Background
Ampong on numerous occasions and on different platforms called out Lumba for ‘cheating’ him in a joint album titled ‘Hosanna’ they released in 2015.

In one of his rants, Ampong said after honouring Lumba’s invitation for the eight-song album with hits such as ‘Hosanna’, and investing his resources into it, Lumba pocketed all proceeds from the launch.

Additionally, he said Lumba denied him his well-deserved right to these songs- some of which he claims he crooned- by uploading them all on his personal accounts on digital music stores.
