Ablakwa Praises Rebecca Akufo-Addo For Using “Abandoned” Presidential Jet

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has appreciated the First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo for using Ghana’s Presidential jet on a trip to Rwanda.

He commended the First Lady for using the “abandoned” flight in a Facebook post on June 23, 2022.

“I must, however, commend First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo for honourably flying to Kigali aboard Ghana’s Presidential Jet which took her some 4 hours and 49minutes”, he said.

The North Tongu Member of Parliament described Rebecca’s confidence in the seemingly forsaken jet as both “refreshing” and “deeply admirable”.

“Ghanaians are exceedingly proud of her”, he added.

The commendation comes on the back of his allegations that the President hired Airbus D-Alex, an expensive jet operated by K5-Aviation- based in Germany- for his yet-to-end trip to Belgium and Rwanda.

According to him the hired jet costs €20,000 per hour.

“For President Akufo-Addo’s current trip to Belgium and Rwanda beginning Sunday the 19th of June, 2022 to attend the 15th Edition of the European Development Days Forum in Brussels, Belgium, and the 26th Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Nations in Kigali, Rwanda; we can confirm a conservative bill of €480,000.00”, he alleged.
