Otumfuo, Lady Julia Arrive
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his wife, Lady Julia have arrived in the country.
They arrived around 5 pm on a Vista jet flight and were presented with two bouquets of red and yellow roses.
Welcoming the royals at the Kumasi Airport were traditional rulers, religious leaders, politicians, government appointees and residents in the Ashanti region.
Among them included Asante Mampongmanhene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwaatia VI, Oheneba Hiahene, Prof Boachie-Adjei, Asante Mamponghemaa, Nana Agyakoma Difie II, Ashanti regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah and many others.
The king, from the airport, used specific routes for his ride to the Manhyia Palace where a surprise birthday celebration awaited him.
He passed through Dichemso, Suame roundabout, Abrepo Junction, Bantama, Komfo Anokye, Kejetia, Dr Mensah, Apagyafie, and finally to the Manhyia Palace.
The King and his wife have returned from a trip to the United Kingdom (UK) particularly to partake in the coronation of King Charles III.
