3 In Police Grips Over Death Of A/R Resident

Three persons have been identified as suspects in the murder of a resident of Kumasi at Sefwi Bekwai Atwima in the Western North region.

Martha Tetteh is reported to have travelled from the Ashanti region to the Western North region in the quest to consult a spiritualist on June 27, 2022, however, she was found headless in an uncompleted building at Sefwi Bekwai.

Police investigations led to the arrest of Solomon Sam, John Nana Addai and Sofo Atta.

According to a police report, Nana Addai contracted Solomon Sam to introduce the deceased to the self-styled spiritualist, Sofo Atta and proceeded on to commit the crime.

Sofo Atta, according to the police, confessed his involvement in the crime during police interrogation.

The three, after being arraigned in court on July 21, 2022, have been remanded into police custody to reappear on August 4, 2022.
