KATH Announces Availability of Key Travel Vaccines at International Vaccination Center

The Public Health Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has announced the availability of key vaccines usually required by embassies and schools for international travellers at its International Vaccination Centre.

Vaccines currently available at the centre include the Yellow Fever Vaccine, Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine, Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine, and Tetanus, Diphtheria and acellular Pertussis (TDaP) Vaccine.

According to the hospital, the availability of these vaccines provides a convenient opportunity for travellers to complete necessary vaccinations before embarking on international journeys, while also supporting individuals who require routine protection against preventable diseases.

The hospital added that groups who require other vaccines, such as Influenza and quadrivalent meningitis vaccine, can contact the centre ahead of time for arrangements to be made.

Located at the Child Welfare Clinic (CWC) at the Family Medicine Directorate, formerly known as Polyclinic, the International Vaccination Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
