Govt Repatriates Highlife Musician Barosky – Foreign Minister

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has confirmed the repatriation of a Ghanaian popularly known as Barosky, who was stranded in Manchester, United Kingdom.

In a Facebook post, Mr Ablakwa said Barosky is now safely back in Ghana.

“As part of our consular mandate, the Foreign Ministry fully sponsored his repatriation to Ghana last night. We are also providing psychosocial support and reintegration financial assistance,” the Minister stated.

Mr Ablakwa expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, particularly Nana Romeo, for bringing Barosky’s plight in Manchester to public attention.

He also commended Ghana’s High Commission in the UK for its coordination in facilitating the repatriation.

“We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind,” he added.

Barosky’s situation in Manchester had drawn public concern in recent days after reports of his heart-wrenching condition circulated on social media, prompting calls for government intervention.
