DVLA Restores Vehicle Registration Platform After Glitch

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced the full restoration of its vehicle registration platform after a temporary glitch.

In a public notice issued on September 1, 2026, the Authority said the platform, which had experienced technical challenges, has now been fixed.

“The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) wishes to inform the public that its vehicle registration platform, which experienced a glitch, has been restored,” the notice stated.

It added that vehicle registration processes have now been restored to provide service to clients across its operational offices nationwide.

“The Authority appreciates your patience during the affected hours,” the DVLA said.

The Authority has urged clients to visit any of its offices to continue with their vehicle registration transactions.
