Asantehemaa Grants Audience to Police Ladies Association

The Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Yaa Akyaa II, has granted audience to the Manhyia Division Chapter of the Police Ladies Association (POLA).
The delegation, led by Superintendent Obidiaba Immaculate, included DSP Dorcas Kyei-Mensah, ASP Mrs Eunice Adu-Antwi, ASP Evelyn Dogbey, ASP Constance Ameyaw, Chief Inspector Nana Ama Konadu, and Inspector Nana Akua Nimoh II.
The chapter comprises female police officers from the Airport, Asokore Mampong, KNUST, Manhyia and Oforikrom Districts.
On behalf of the Association’s President, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, and all female police officers, they conveyed their congratulatory message to the Queen.
“We heard that Otumfuo had appointed Nana Yaa Akyaa as Asantehemaa. We have secured permission for an audience with Otumfuo, and we are here to pay homage to our mother and to pledge our unflinching support to her reign,” they said.
Presenting traditional drinks and other gifts to the Palace, the group sought the blessings and prayers of Her Majesty.
“We use this occasion to seek Your Majesty’s prayers, counsel and blessings towards the successful execution of our mandate as police officers.”
