Ablakwa Receives Letters of Credence from 5 New Envoys
Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has received the open letters of five new distinguished envoys accredited to Ghana.
In a Facebook post, Ablakwa said Ghana is “always delighted to welcome new distinguished envoys to move forward our great relations.”
He noted that he received the envoys “with honour, duty, warmth and cherished friendship.”
The envoys who presented their letters are H.E. Shehu Ilu Barde, Nigerian High Commissioner-Designate to Ghana; H.E. Surinder Bhagat, Indian High Commissioner-Designate to Ghana; H.E. Fouad Khazzaka, Lebanese Ambassador-Designate to Ghana; H.E. Keara Shaw, Australian High Commissioner-Designate to Ghana; and H.E. Emmanuel Kalenzi, UNIDO Resident Representative to Ghana.
The presentation of letters of credence formally marks the beginning of the envoys’ diplomatic assignments in Ghana.
It is expected to pave the way for enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, security, development, and multilateral engagement.
Ghana maintains long-standing bilateral relations with Nigeria, India, Lebanon and Australia, and continues to work closely with UNIDO on industrial development and sustainable economic growth.
