We Will Demonstrate Against The Galamseyers; Angry Residents Threaten

Atwima Nwabiagya South residents, specifically people living around the Offin River in the Ashanti region, have threatened to organize a gory demonstration against the illegal miners in the area.

Interacting with Opemsuo news reporter, Nana Adeamuoduro, the residents voiced out how furious they are about the activities of the illegal miners.

The farmers said the activities of the miners have polluted the river, hence causing numerous disadvantages to them.

Fish farmers living around River Offin also expressed grief over the actions of the illegal miners. Stressing that “Their actions have ruined our business”.

The assembly member who doubles as the Presiding Member for the Municipality, Hon Nana Osei Tutu is aware of the menace but hasn’t done anything about the situation.

“We will demonstrate to express our anger against the illegal miners”, the residents said.
