Walewale MP, Kwabre East MP Nominated As Gender Ministers

President Akufo-Addo has nominated two Members of Parliament for the positions of Minister and Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection.

The two are MP for Walewale who was a deputy to Sarah Adwoa Sarfo during her tenure as the Gender Minister, Lariba Zuweira Abudu and MP for Kwabre East, Francisca Oteng Mensah.

If the two are approved by Parliament, Lariba will become Minister while Francisca will take the opposition of the Deputy Minister.

The appointments of Lariba and Francisca are pursuant to Articles 78 and 79 of the Constitution respectively.

The information was contained in a letter signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin.
