Vinicius Out Of Brazil Squad Against Argentina
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior is set to miss Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Argentina on Wednesday after sustaining a muscle injury on Thursday.
Spanish journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that he will leave Brazil camp for Madrid later tonight.
He was diagnosed with the injury by medical official and will receive medical attention in Spain.
“The feeling is that this muscle injury is a bit less serious than last one he suffered this year,” the reporter posted on Facebook.
Vini came off the pitch in the 27th minute with an injury after assisting Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli to give Brazil a lead against Columbia in their fifth World Cup qualifier.
Columbia managed a two late goals.
The injury is a blow to both Madrid and Brazil as he adds up to the former’s list of injured key players with the latter managing just two wins in the world cup qualifiers.
Brazil will next face World Cup Champions Argentina on November 22 in their sixth qualifier.
