USA ‘Grateful’ to Asantehene
The United States of America (USA) says it is grateful beyond measure to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The gratitude was conveyed by the Ambassador of the USA to Ghana, H.E. Virgina Palmer when she joined the last Awukudae Festival of year on November 20, 2024 at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
In her submission before the King when he sat in state to receive homage from subjects and guests from across the country and beyond, she publicly acknowledged the leadership of Otumfuo which has been a benefit to all people including her country.
She recognized that His Majesty’s leadership has been intertwined with peace and stability as she expressed her highest regard and admiration for the King.
“I stand here with respect for your work and for the peace and stability in Ghana. We are also very grateful.”
H.E Palmer also used the occasion to introduce a new member of the Embassy, a Ghanaian, to the King.
