Telcos to Offer 6GB Data Bundle at ¢10 on Independence Day- Gov’t

The government has announced a special data bundle package for all Ghanaians as the country celebrates its 68th Independence Day.
In a Facebook post, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, said telecommunication would be offering a 6GB Data Bundle at ¢10.

This is an adjustment from the 1GB or 3GB offerings on holidays at ¢10 following an agreement will all telecommunication companies operating in the country.

“Under the instructions of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, we have reached a special Independence Day bundle package on all three networks in the Country.

“All three telecom companies – MTN Ghana, Telecel Ghana and AT Ghana – have agreed to offer a GHS10 bundle which would offer 6GB of data instead of the usual 1GB regular offering or 3GB offerings on holidays for the same price.”

According to the lawmaker, this affirms the government’s commitment to build the enablers for a truly digitalized Ghana that offers the vast opportunity of the interconnected world to Ghanaians right in the comfort of their homes.

Additionally, he announced plans to outline short, medium and long-term plans towards a sustained reduction in data prices.

MTN Ghana

1. Dial *138# on your MTN line.
2. Select Option 2: Special Day Bundle.
3. Choose the Independence Day package and follow the prompts to complete the purchase.

Telecel Ghana

1. Dial *700# on your Telecel line.
2. Navigate to the special data bundle section.
3. Select the Independence Day offer and confirm your purchase.

AT Ghana

1. Dial *567# on your AT Ghana line.
2. Select Option 3: Special Offers.
3. Choose the Independence Day bundle and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
