Abodeasehene Isn’t Entitled to Any Land- Otumfuo

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has set the record straight regarding the Abodease Stool’s land entitlements.

At the Manhyia Palace on July 21, 2025, during the Kumasi Traditional Council meeting, Otumfuo noted that Nana Abodeasehene was not entitled to any land.

His Majesty affirmed that he was subject to Pramsohene and therefore not independent to fight over any land with Aberankese Nyameanihene.

“You are under Pramso. A case is between Pramso and Aberankese. Why are you agitating so much over it. You have no land to dispute over. I earlier destooled you but reconsidered after pleas. What kind of insolence is that.”

“It was my considered plan to make Aberankese to apportion some of his land to Pramso. We are still looking at that but Abodeasehene has no land.”

The King warned him from repeating his actions.

The caution comes after Abodeasehene took matters into his hand to fight Nana Aberankesehene over some lands he claim belongs to him.

It was revealed that the matter had escalated into some violence, resulting in injuries to at least two individuals from both factions.
