E/R: Three Illegal Miners Granted Bail

The Mpraeso Circuit Court has granted three alleged illegal miners bail following their arraignment.

The three are Freeman Kwafo, Augustine Asoma and Bawa Muhammed.

According to a police statement, the accused persons were arrested by some youth of Akoase in the Eastern Region on 21st March, 2025 and handed over to the Police.

Following their arraignment on March 25, they were granted bail by the court to reappear on 25th April, 2025.

The police assured that investigations continues into circumstances surrounding the alleged release of two Chinese suspects who were arrested together with the three accused persons.
