U/WR: 100 Police Officers Deployed to Wechiau

One hundred police officers have been deployed to Wechiau in the Upper West Region for security reinforcement.

According to a statement by the Ghana Police Service, the officers are made up of operations and intelligence officers.

They are from the National Police Headquarters and tasked with collaborating with the Regional Command and military officers to protect lives and properties as well as ensure peace.

“The team will work with the Regional Command and officers from the Ghana Armed Forces to intensify security within Wechiau and surrounding communities.”
