Seven, Including Three Children, Perish In Accident on Nkawkaw-Accra Highway
Three children have been identified among seven individuals who have perished in an accident at Nkawanda No.2 along the Nkawkaw-Accra Highway.
The accident recorded on Tuesday around 1 pm involved a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Bus with registration number AW 4619-14 and a MAN Diesel Cargo Truck with registration number GN 114-21.
According to a statement by the Ghana Fire National Service (GNFS), the deceased included two boys, a young girl and four women.
“The rescue team gathered and secured the bodies, preserving their dignity and ensuring safety at the scene.”
Meanwhile, it reported 10 persons including the driver and the mate of the Man Diesel Cargo Truck, sustained various degrees of injuries.
It said the injured persons were taken to the Holy Hospital and Kenop Hospital in Nkawkaw for medical attention.
The GNFS has since commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
