Rtd COP Kofi Boakye Appointed Presidency Director of Operations
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) as the Director of Operations at the Presidency.
The former Ashanti Regional Police Commander was named alongside other key National Security appointments on January 15, 2025.
He will oversee operational effectiveness in security matters, according to a statement issued by the Acting Spokesperson of the President.
“COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) has been appointed Director of Operations at the Presidency to oversee operational effectiveness in security matters.”
Meanwhile, the President has named Former Chief of Staff Prosper Douglas Bani as his National Security Advisor.
According to the Presidency, the former Minister for the Interior is rich in experience and expertise.
Another appointment made was DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak as the National Security Coordinator. His mandate will be to ensure a cohesive strategy across all security initiatives.
The last among the key officials is Charles Kipo named Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau.
According to the Presidency, the appointments reflect President Mahama’s commitment to enhancing national security and ensuring the safety of citizens.
