Procedure SP Used To Freeze Sir John’s Will Was Wrong – Obiri Boahen
The Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has stated that the procedure Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyabeng used in applying to freeze the Late Sir John’s purported will was wrong.
According to him, when Special Prosecutor’s application is granted will be a dangerous and disingenuous precedent for the State.
On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, Accra High Court Judge, Her Ladyship Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe, dismissed Special Prosecutor’s application to freeze the late Sir John’s assets.
Lawyer Obiri Boahen indicated that he support the services of the Special Prosecutor but in the case of the late Sir John’s, he goofed.
He said, the man in question is dead which he is no where to be found to explain the supposed Will.
Nana Obiri Boahen says, the late Sir John was not having any case before the law court on his asset so there is no need for the Special Prosecutor to take it on once he is dead.
