Police Investigate Death Of Krachie East MCE
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has begun investigations to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of the Municipal Chief Executive of Krachie East Assembly, Francis Kofi Okesu.
Chronicling the series of events that led to the discovery of his dead body in a hotel room on September 4, 2022, the Ghana Police Service said, “Hon. Francis Kofi Okesu accompanied by his driver checked in at the Harbed House Hotel, Kumasi on 2nd September 2022.
“The MCE was however not seen on 4th September 2022 and all efforts made by both his driver and the hotel authority to reach him on his cellphone proved unsuccessful. His door was therefore forced open and he was found lying motionless on his bed”.
He was conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His body has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
