Police Hunt For NDC Tamale Office Attackers
The police service says it is after persons who staged an attack on the office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Tamale in the Northern region.
The Service assured that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
“The Police are on a manhunt to arrest persons who attacked and destroyed some property at the Northern Regional NDC office at Tamale on 23rd August 2022.
“Whilst we assure the public that all the perpetrators will be brought to face justice”, the police said in a statement.
The police also advised the masses to resort to peaceful means in resolving their differences rather than violence.
On August 23, 2022, some men stormed the party office of the NDC and vandalised some benches belonging to the party according to a viral video.
It is reported that the attackers demanded the removal of the acting regional chairman of the party, Adolf Ali.
Adolf Ali is acting as the Regional Chairman after the elected Northern Regional Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Abdulai Ibrahim Mobila passed away.
He died at the Tamale Teaching hospital on August 16, 2022.
