{Pictures}: Black Stars Arrive In Kumasi for Angola Showdown
Twenty-two players and the technical team of the Black Stars have touched down in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region where they will be playing their opening match against the Palancas Negras of Angola on Thursday in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Elisha Owusu and Jordan Ayew are yet to arrive in the country but are expected to join the camp on Wednesday.
They arrived via Passion Air flight on Tuesday afternoon after setting out from Accra where all the players convened.
They are expected to continue training in Kumasi after their first at the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra on Monday, September 2, 2024, was attended by just 10 players.
The technical team will supervise their training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the clash.
As a member of Group F, Ghana will host Angola on Thursday, September 5, followed by a trip to Berkane, Morocco, for the second game on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Otto Addo has named 24 players for the games. They are Lawrence Ati Zigi, Joojo Wollacot, Frederick Asare, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Jonas Adjetey Adjei, Abdul Mumin, Mohammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, Kingsley Schindler, Mohammed Kudus, Abu Francis, Thomas Partey and Elisha Owusu.
The rest are Majeed Ashimeru, Abdul Fawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, Brandon Thomas Asante and Forson Amankwah.
