Opemsuo Radio 2nd Birthday Celebration Unsealed With Health Walk
The second-anniversary celebration of Opemsuo radio has begun with a health walk through the principal streets of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Joining the health walk were staff members together with some listeners, and youth groups including the Citizens of Manhyia Movement, Manhyia Proper Prisons Movement, the Asante Zongo Youth Association, Power Rangers, and the Executive Men Club.
Participants converged at Poku Trading at Adum and strolled through the Central Police Station, Boss FM, Labour, Amakom, Akwatia Line and then to the Manhyia Palace.
Taking all by surprise during the over two-hour walk, were the General manager of Opemsuo Radio, Mr. Bosie Amponsa, and a panel member on the M’asem Show, Nana Yaa Acheamponmaa, two who are advanced in age, when they led the walk energetically to the seat of Asanteman.
At the Manhyia Palace, attendees were led through a thirty-minute workout at the forecourt of the Manhyia Palace.
Currently underway at the Palace is a free dental and diabetes screening on its forecourt.
Opemsuo radio has a series of activities to mark its second year including a spelling bee and an outdoor event on May 13 at the Kumasi racecourse and a tournament on May 21.
Opemsuo Radio, a subsidiary of the Ashanti Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) which is owned by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is located at the Manhyia Palace and has the slogan “Yeresom ”, to wit, “We Are Serving”.
